CUP DAY

that time of the year again..
Melbourne CUP.. yes.. CUP day
every year I'll go frantically study really hard on anything about the cup and read all possible articles out there to pick the WINNER horse.

but of course have I ever picked the winner..
what do you think .. knowing I'm still working my ass off
hell no!!

but then to be fair almost every year I won a little on the Melbourne CUP
so I'm not going to break the tradition but to place my bets on few horse

according to my down under colleagues the most insights they can provide me on this year favorite are
1) Tawqeet
2) Pop Rock (personal favorite, all because of the name.. I feel like some rock today)
3) Activation
4) Maybe Better
and most of all "Yeats" from Kiwi

so any insights?

on another note, I did do something rather interesting over the weekend. I went "chocolate-wares" shopping. What is Chocolate-wear?? well its what I called the tools that people used to make choco.
since one of my best friend is in town, and she is the BEST .. really the BEST dessert Chef I know and very sweet of her, offered to make choco for us. (actually its more we forced her to make desserts for us)

so we both venture out to Mong Kwok, if not because of this fantastic outing to MK. I would have never realised HK is place to shop for kitchen wears. so professional!

being of course I've to finish my weekend with a touch of style. we went to see the "The Artists and Their Models - Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou, Paris" exhibition at HONG KONG MUSEUM of ART. In general it was a very good exhibition being here in HK. The collections was very well picked, however no matter how good the paintings are, because of the way they set up or the actual museum itself, it still lacks of the sense of "arti-ness" compared to those European Museums.

I was rather excited about the shows, especially when I was in Paris i took my good friend there twice and it was closed both days due to strikes (how typical!!) I hoping even thought didn't get to see the whole collections in Paris but at least get to see some in HK. not a bad trade especially it only costs HK$40 to see this exhibition (CHEAP right - i say its a bargain)
but.. .. because of the emptiness or lack of history of the museum, it makes the exhibitions rather dull ...

but its still a must do activity on the weekend.. if anyone ask me, I'd go again to look at few paintings..

final note, I'm almost done on my Seville photos.. 5% left..
hang in there
I'm hanging

oh one more note.. i'd one of the best night in volar on sat.. why because me and my other best gf had a long chat for quite awhile.. yes in volar. and it was a great chat! I couldn't wait to see what'll happen to this weekend. we're invading Shanghai!! SH here we come
